Convergent Solutions, Inc. in the news
Changing the Way Business Is Done
Arlene Kelly and Kim Sanborn were caught off guard in late 2005 when IDX Systems, a maker of software products for the health care industry, made them an offer they couldnít refuse for Healthcare Resource Solutions Inc., the company they had created nine years earlier to remove the headaches suffered by physicians and physician groups as they grapple with the complexities of medical billing and other administrative operations. The partners considered early retirement and staying on as managers with GE Healthcare, which absorbed IDX, but ultimately took another route ó starting a new venture to take even more of the subjectivity, problems, and cost out of medical billing and other processes....Read More
Convergent Solutions, Inc. Hits All Time Low in Accounts Receivable Days
CSI AR Days at 26. Arlene Kelly attributes consistently low AR days for all CSI clients is a result of the implementation of RCx Rules, CSI's partner based Rules Processing Engine. Rcx allows all Billing Rules, Coding Requirements and Client Custom Business Rules to be built within the system, therefore eliminating the reliance on human subjectivity. "Impact on client revenue is tremendous" also says Kelly. She went on to point out that 26 days is far below industry standards and references the MGMA average AR Days of 43. CSI maintains a less than 1% first pass claim denial rate, therefore achieving a 99.9% clean claim rate.
Convergent Solutions Inc. Launches Affordable EMR
Itís no secret: EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) improve healthcare delivery and make it more cost effective. Yet, according to the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative, with implementation costs running at $40,000-$45,000 per physician, the medical industry has been slow to convert from paper medical records, until now.
Convergent Solutions Inc. (CSI) has launched a new EMR system that features very low implementation and maintenance costs, ongoing technical support and with all data stored in a redundant, safe environment. CSIís EMR solution features accessible data for Pay for Performance initiatives, health maintenance requirements and clinical reporting. There is no charge for training, no licensing fees and average implementation period can be as low as 3 months or the client can phase the EMR in over time. The CSI EMR solution can be linked to labs and hospitals and is also easily integrated with existing medical billing and practice management systems.
